Sailing at RFYC

RFYC has an active sailing programme from April to October, with racing on most weekends, tides permitting, and some evenings in the summer months.  If the weather isn’t too inclement, Members continue to sail over the Winter on a casual basis.

Racing takes place both in Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth and covers the full range from Novice, right up to Open National events.  There are also a number of fun races, musters and novelty events scheduled throughout the Season, to ensure there is something for everyone.  Various Open events and Travellers happen throughout the year, with a major focus on the Club’s Regatta Weekend and Findhorn Week which occurs during July.

The Members of RFYC will always welcome and assist all visitors and new Members, both on and off the water.  Those who don’t sail, often become involved in the Race Management and Rescue organisations.  Full training is available for those who are interested in this side of things.  The Club has a small fleet of dinghies available for loan to Members and a training fleet which can be used for courses and is available to use for Open events, under certain conditions.
