6 Nationals took part in their Scottish Championships on the 18th/19th June, along with 5 H’cap boats.
The racing on Saturday saw quite a few capsizes in the gusty, lumpy conditions with several boats retiring. Sunday’s racing took place in a lighter breeze, with the wind dying to nothing by the end of the day and some of the boats having to be towed in. The eventual winner of the Scottish National 18ft Championships, and the bottle of whisky kindly donated by Benromach, was National 18ft 339 sailed by Stuart Urquhart. The H’cap racing was won by Ian Ellis in his Musto Skiff 224.
